Snow Storm January 12

This time there was a prediction for up to two feet of snow and the forecast didn't disappoint.
Connecticut beat its all time record snow fall and also set the record for the greatest amount of snow in a 24 hour period. Along with enjoying the snow we got to have our granddaughter for a sleep over since her preschool had announced the day before that it would be closed. Our daughters didn't expect that they would also being staying home with many businesses closing for the day.

We awoke to several inches already ont he ground and the snow continued until early afternoon.

And the snow was as deep as the dogs are high. Walking was not easy.

Once the snow stopped it was 'Play Time!"

And then it was time to dig out!

The next morning the sun shone through the trees casting shadows on the new fallen snow.

And the following day greeted us with a beautiful sunrise.
