Spring Chicken
From Roof Dog to Chalk Dog
This is a drawing of a dog my 2 year 8 month old granddaughter
did on the driveway using chalk. It had had faded after being
driven over a few times so I retraced the lines. I didn't
add or take away anything, just darkened the lines.
Two black labs. which she adores, live at our house.

Visual Caffeine
This doll was created for a "visual caffeine" challenge.
She was made using acrylic paints on muslin, then
sewed together, turned and stuffed.
She sits in a cup of coffee beans that has a plastic
tube in the center. The doll has a dowel rod in her base
which fits in the plastic tube so she will stand.
The coffee beans are coated with mod podge.
She was inspired by a Gevalia ad.

Seven Collages in Seven Days
These collages were done for an "Art is You" Yahoo group challenge. The challenge was to make seven collages in seven days. I used one magazine for all collages and there wasn't much left when I was finished. I don't remember if one magazine was part of the challenge or if I just did that.
I chose to theme my collages with the title for each beginning with the letter F - Food, Flowers,
Fun, Favorites, Faces, Furniture, and a Fairy.
"Art is You" is a wonderful East Coast Art Retreat held on Columbus Day week end. This year's theme is "Taking Tea With Alice". The line up of teachers is phenomenal!

Myself As A Dollmaker
I belong to a small local group of dollmakers called the Fabric Manglers. At at our last meeting one of our members challenged us to collage a card illustrating how we see ourselves as dollmakers. Below are my results. The writing includes disinherited, selfish, bad tempered, and unreasonable printed on the front of the woman, collaged on is many faces, the unveiling of the unexpected, secrets and surprises, she has the gift, and fulfillment, the definition of passion, and imagine written in wire. The word artist was put on with stickers, and other elements include a piece of dichroic glass, a bug, silk cacoon unraveled, beaded fringe, a face made with precious metal clay, and a clock button. I plan to add wings to the clock.

Since I have shared how I see myself as a dollmaker, I thought I should include photos of a few dolls that I have made. I will post more doll photos with time.
"Fish and Chicks" is an original soft sculpture done for a "WOW" challenge of the same name.

This is a doll made for a fabric challenge from a Sara Austin pattern.
The challenge fabric is her outfit. She is painted with acrylics.
